Kevin Howard (February 20)
Called one of the "Top Three Jazz Performers" byPittsburgh City Paper, Kevin Howard is a world-class keyboardist, writer, and composer. He has recorded and performed alongside artists such as George Benson and Marion Meadows, and is best known for his warm personality and smooth dynamic sound. His repertoire includes "Random Groove," "Night Moods," and "In Motion."
Tony DePaolis (March 6)
Tony DePaolis was born into a musical family and is one of the most in-demand bassists in Pittsburgh. He has performed with both local and national musicians, and in 2009, he released his debut album. His set list includes a variety of songs such as "Whims of James," "Willow Tree," and "The Contemporary Dynamic."
James Johnson III (March 13)
Often described as a musical chameleon,James Johnson III easily adapts to a range of genres. He began playing drums at a young age as his father, a well-known pianist, sparked his interest in music. James later attended a performing arts high school where his mentor was jazz great Roger Humphries, and his education has helped him earn gigs at venues around the world.
Kenny Blake (March 20)
Kenny Blake is an internationally renowned saxophonist who has entertained audiences for more than thirty years. He mixes the sound of traditional jazz with modern rhythm and blues, and his CD's have reached the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Album chart. Kenny has played with artists such as Joe McBride and Donny Iris and frequently performs at music festivals around the world.
