An easy drive from Lot 24 is an oasis known as the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens.

The Butterfly Forest is a favorite among visitors of all ages. It showcases the delicate life cycle of these important pollinators as well as their favorite flowers. The butterflies are known for landing visitors' shoulders, and species include painted lady, monarch, and orange barred sulphur.
Orchid and Tropical Bonsai show (opens January 13)
The Orchid and Tropical Bonsai Show will provide a fun way to escape the winter blues. As visitors explore, they will discover a variety of colorful orchids and more than twenty-five miniature trees that highlight the ancient Japanese art of bonsai amid a lush backdrop of Macho ferns and Kangaroo paws.
Tropical Forest (opens February 10)
Step into the Tropical Forest where you can experience Cuba's diverse ecology and culture. It is one of the most biodiverse nations on the globe, and this exhibit will feature an impressive collection of ferns, orchids, and the national tree of Cuba, the Royal Palm. Along with seeing plants, visitors can also listen to music, practice their dance moves, and take pictures inside a 1949 Chevrolet Fleetline. The car is in reference to the classic American cars that are often found on the streets of Havana.
