Taste the Best of the Area at the Second Annual Explore East Liberty Wine Festival
Join the East Liberty Chamber of Commerce as they host the second annual Explore East Liberty Wine Festival in celebration of the region's best wineries and most exciting vendors. Last year's festival was a hit, attracting hundreds of locals and visitors alike with delicious bites, live music, prizes, and most importantly samples from the area's best wineries.
This year, the festival will take place on Saturday, September 8th on Broad Street between Center Avenue and North Highland Avenue for guests to mill about and enjoy each of the exciting vendors. The event will include food trucks, retail vendors, a face painting station, a raffle with exciting prizes, and of course a chance to taste-test the Pittsburgh wineries you love most.
Wine vendors will include Pittsburgh Winery, R Wine Cellar, Winery at Wilcox, Black Dog Winery, Narcisi, and Threadbare Cider & Mead, among many others. Food vendors will include Millie’s Homemade Ice Cream, Chantal Cheese, Fudge Farm, Mi Empanada, and Vinny’s Shaved Ice for many opportunities to taste delectable treats. You’ll also have the chance to shop at booths set up by Espirations Greeting Cards, Olive & Marlowe, 4 Sisters Ceramics, and Palate Partner. Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, and Allies for Health & Well Being will also be in attendance, for a chance to learn more about volunteering and the important work these organizations do for our community. A live performance by jazzy soul artist Kea will be another exciting addition to this year’s festival.
The event is open to the public of all ages, and only those over the age of 21 need to purchase a ticket. A $25.00 ticket includes an event wine glass, a wine tote bag, and samples from each winery featured at the festival. Tickets will be on sale online now through Friday, September 7th, so be sure to get them soon! Tickets will also be available the day of the event for $30.00.
On the day of the festival, parking will be available in the public lots across from Target, behind Peace Love & Zen, and at Eastside Bond Parking Garage on Annie Place off Central Avenue. You may also want to consider using a ride-sharing service such as Uber or Lyft. Gather your friends, family, and even pets and join us at this year’s Explore East Liberty Wine Festival! See you there!
